The Avenas String Quartet

Classical string quartet available to hire for weddings & functions.

Violinists Anya Birchall and Rebecca Totterdell, violist Fiona Opie and cellist Kate Hetherington make up this classical string quartet, named after the tiny French village which hosted the ensemble's debut concert in the year 2000.  Their professional and charity performances have included concerts in the UK and around Europe.  Collectively the quartet have performed in many prestigious venues including The Ritz Hotel, Grosvenor House Hotel and Pizza on the Park, Knightsbridge; and as far afield as France, Italy, Mexico, Cuba and the Caribbean!  TV performances by the quartet or its members include a feature on the shopping channel QVC, the Parkinson show and CD:UK.  Individually the members work as soloists and session musicians in London and across the UK and have performed with, amongst others, Sir Elton John and Il Divo on Top of the Pops, City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, BBC National Orchestra of Wales, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and London Symphony Orchestra.
